Conservative treatment approach
No one likes it when the doctor walks into the room, and immediately starts planning surgery after only a couple of minutes. Dr Udall has a conservative mindset when it comes to treatment. After years in a surgical practice, his focus is now on doing everything possible to avoid or prevent surgery. Feet are complicated and really important! So our goal is to spend time understanding your true problem and then work together on a solution.

Dr. Udall will happily see you so you can get a second opinion without needing to feel pressured into surgery, or another treatment plan that doesn't feel right. He'll give you an honest, unbiased opinion about your diagnosis, and provide other treatments that may work for you.
When your child has a foot problem, you need a gentle doctor with experience
Dr. Udall is great with kids (maybe partly because he has 5 of his own!). Your child needs someone kind who can make them feel at ease. Since 2017 Dr. Udall has treated many children for ingrown toenails, warts, flat feet, or sports-related pains. We discuss how to trim nails properly, proper shoes and arch supports, and help you learn what's best for their young feet.
Seniors need a foot doctor who is patient, attentive, and has a caring heart.
Dr. Udall is an old soul who has a special place in his heart for seniors. He's really careful to take a minimal approach to limit pain or discomfort. Whether you just need help wtih nail care or calluses, or have pain from chronic arthritis, or are active and want help staying busy on your feet, Dr. Udall will patiently care for seniors even in the most delicate shape.
Your First Visit at Foot Envy? What to Expect.
We have a beautifully renovated clinic in a great location, with spacious exam rooms, a comfortable lobby, and lots of easy parking only a few steps away from the front door. We have an in-office digital xray machine, so you won't need to go to an imaging center prior to your appointment.

Before you arrive
Fill out the digital intake forms online using your phone or computer. You can also fill them out by hand in the office if you prefer. Please upload your insurance cards beforehand, or plan to bring them with you.

Dr. Udall tries to greet everyone with a smile and make you feel comfortable. He'll patiently listen to your concerns and questions, perform a thorough exam, evaluate your shoes, and take X-rays right in the office when needed.

Hammer Toes can rub on the shoe, or cause pressure on the tip of the toes, causing pain. Not to mention they can look a little funny when they're curled. Dr Udall is an expert at diagnosing, and treating hammer toes. He has mastered a simple procedure that fixes most hammer toes.
Heel Pain
(Plantar Fasciitis)
After seeing Dr Udall and getting xrays, you'll understand why your heel hurts, and feel confident that conservative treatment for plantar fasciitis works well.
Ingrown Toenails
Ready to have your toe stop hurting? When you have an ingrown toenail, you know how painful it really is. If your toe hasn't gotten better within a few days, it's not going to get better on its own.
Neuropathy
If you have neuropathy, or think you might have neuropathy, make an appointment to visit Dr. Udall to talk about it. Dr Udall is not like other doctors out there when it comes to neuropathy. He is interested in helping you understand what is going on, helping you get a proper diagnosis, and doing what is best for you. There is no one size fits all treatment for neuropathy.
Flat Feet
Flat feet are feet with a collapsed arch, which can cause pain and difficulty walking. Dr Udall performs a thorough physical exam, including weight bearing x-rays to fully evaluate the arches and look at the bones and joints. Even if you aren't having lots of pain, a thorough evaluation is important to potentially prevent future problems. Custom orthotics and proper shoes are essential for supporting your feet and reducing pain.

His maternal grandfather was a Major in the Air Force, flying fighter jets in the Army Air Corps. Our clinic is closely located to Luke Air Force base.
Custom Orthotics are a very helpful tool for any one on active duty, to keep your feet supported and pain free. Meet Dr. Craig Udall, DPM
Dr. Craig Udall is a podiatrist, and the founder of Foot Envy. He's proud to run a small business clinic, because it makes for a better patient experience.
He grew up in Mesa, AZ in a family of 6 kids. His dad is a family medicine doctor and his family roots here in arizona go back many generations. After graduation from ASU, he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Western University in 2013 and completed his 3 year residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center, followed by an additional year-long fellowship training in Atlanta, GA.
He’s been treating patients in the West Valley since 2017 and is the west valley's dedicated expert in custom foot orthotics. Dr. Udall is both board certified and fellowship trained, which just means he knows what he's doing, has lots of experience, and rest assured, he knows a lot about feet.
